Driven by several factors, the increased use of bicycles has become a worldwide trend, and its use is divided into recreation and leisure, basic transportation, sport and competition and toys. However, a bicycle must have the specific characteristics required by the user, and there may be a wide variety of models. Selector adjustment is the starting point of the world-class bicycle adjustment service, both competitive and recreational. The closer to the ideal position or rider you find, the lower your risk of developing skeletal muscle injuries and the better your performance. Optimal fit provides a mechanical advantage as well as comfort and healthy performance due to proper component fit. Misfit can alter the pattern of muscle activity, impair performance and cause injury. The study was based on the application of a questionnaire in which text fragments were extracted, based on a semantic matrix, which contained answers that corresponded or not as measures to be adopted or in order to use a suitable equipment for the client, which provided conditions. Proper use or injury caused by pedaling, allowing to verify the quality of service provided by the bicycle user in the city of Curitiba. Find out or empiricism in the practice adopted by cycling technicians. The Heel-Pedal method proved to be the main procedure adopted by the technicians, considering its simplicity, low cost and acceptable accuracy. |
