peri-article-132312024-05-01T10:37:38Z Quality of life assessment of Brazilian university students: a bibliometric review Avaliação da qualidade de vida de estudantes universitários brasileiros: uma revisão bibliométrica Costa, Vitor Lisboa da Castilho, Selma Rodrigues de 4.06.02.00-1 Qualidade de vida; estudantes; Brasil. Quality of life; students; Brazil. OBJECTIVE: To analyze publications that address the quality of life (QoL) of Brazilian college studentsMETHODS: It’s a bibliographic review, with bibliometric analysis. Data collection was carried out in three databases: Pubmed, Scielo and LILACS from 2004 to October 2018, adopting as inclusion criteria studies that had been carried out with Brazilian university students, in whole or in part, that involved information about their QOL. Bibliographic reviews on the topic and studies using specific QOL analysis instruments for a given population or disease were excluded from the analysis.RESULTS: A total of 36 articles were obtained. Most contained between four and eight authors, were published from 2013 on national journals, using cross-sectional studies. Most of the studies were concentrated in the southeast, analyzing the QoL of medical and nursing students and using WHOQOL-bref as the main instrument.CONCLUSIONS: In general, a decrease in QoL was found in students at the end of the course when compared to those at the beginning, in addition to women having lower QoL.
