The rapid spread of the virus called for preventive measures that the population could take. It is up to the government to support the most vulnerable population. Given this scenario, a risk analysis was carried out in the neighborhoods of Salvador regarding the spread of Covid-19 due to people's movement and socioeconomic conditions. The methodological procedure used data from previous research on public transport trips for work purposes. It was based on assumptions of civil defense in which the risk results from a population's potential danger and vulnerability. The aggregate results highlight central regions of the consolidated urban area of the city, in addition to those belonging to Subúrbio Ferroviário and Miolo, where poverty rates are historically higher. It is worth mentioning the frequent presence of neighborhoods in critical positions in the rankings due to their connection with communities highlighted by the number of cases and the vulnerability of their population, which indicates the public power increased attention to these locations, even though the number of instances of Covid-19, until then was not so high in the evaluated period.
