Resumo: Socio-technical Adequacy (AST) is a theoretically consolidated concept and has matured as a practice with self-managed groups. However, it seems to lack to this advance a systematization of the constructed methodologies; who proposes to undertake AST's seems to have to develop on account of their methodologies, in a process that causes distress. The recent experiences of the Research Group on Recovered Enterprises for Workers can collaborate with the methodological development of the AST from the reference of the Ergonomics of the Activity and the method of the Ergonomic Analysis of the Work (AET), used in an action research in the Fábrica Ocupada Flaskô. We understand that AET can be one of the possible methods for the construction of AST, allowing a better understanding of the limits and possibilities of self-management. The practice of self-management is enhanced by starting from the logics of real work, how the activity is developed in its interstices. In this sense, the AET, developed in Flaskô, was presented as a relevant method.
