Resumo: With increase in electricity consumption in Brazil owing industrial development, energy efficiency has taken on a key role in reducing costs in various production processes. Large portion of this consumption is a result of use of three-phase induction motors, therefore, monitoring of energy efficiency undertaken in these equipments become financially viable, avoiding unnecessary waste. This study proposes a mathematical model, using statistical analysis methods, based on constructive parameters of a standard induction motor. After conclude the model, this was used as a standard to monitor the performance of the machine over its lifetime noninvasively. The proposed technique allows to evaluate if the machine presents an adequate income or not, for the operating condition in which it is. At the end of the experiments it was satisfactorily possible to diagnose that the model is able to qualitatively detect the engine deformities, thus proving the viability of method in application on industrial environment, because the ability to make the diagnosis without the motor decoupled.
