Resumo: With the increase of wind generation, technical study regarding the behavior of the wind power system against disturbances is increasingly necessary, since the National System Operator defines guidelines and minimum requirements for the operation of transmission of energy in the National Interconnected System. New work and results, regarding the diversification of the Brazilian electrical matrix, have been presented. Therefore, this work presents a study of the contribution of wind turbines in the currents of short circuits that can occur in wind power plants. The modeling of a wind power plant, implemented in simulations in the Simulink computational tool, under fault conditions is elaborated. The simulation results with Simulink are presented and discussed.
