The present work aims to create a customisation in the concept of smart building to improve quality of life during elder age connecting functionalities in an electrical installation through technological innovation such as internet of things and ambient assisted living. Bringing these two concepts together can create a residential ambient that monitors in a non evasive way some parameters related to elderly people activities and send this data to the family so that they can be aware the elderly has a good level of life quality, as well as mitigate possible emergencies. A survey was proposed for elderlies and people from other age groups who have any elderly in their families or close social group. This survey showed acceptance from both groups in monitoring life activities to forecast emergency situations. A prototype was also built to detect these emergencies and inform the family through the Internet, showing it is possible to achieve what was proposed. |
