Resumo: The increase in electricity consumption in all sectors of the economy results in the need for proper planning of the electrical system in order to ensure not only the continuity of supply , but also a service within established parameters (with regard to reliability) at the lowest possible cost. For this accomplishment ANEEL, ONS and utilities have been conducted several studies and system analysis over the years. However, in the case of the World Cup in 2014, atypical situations and requirements in the Brazilian electrical system, resulting in projects and specific works especially dedicated to the event. Thus, this work mainly addresses the reliability analysis for subsystems of the Companhia Paranaense de Energia (COPEL) which have been upgrade in orden to meet the requirements for holding the Cup in Curitiba.
