Resumo: This work presents a numerical study of the behavior of a laminated plate used in anti-projectile shield Level I, by the American standard NIJ 0180.01. Developing the theme was identified a large number of researchers studying related subjects, but experimentally, and numerical modeling has little emphasis on the study of shields. To acquire knowledge to solve the problem posed a literature review was conducted on issues related to the theme, such as polymers, composites and finite elements, allowing the knowledge to the solution, which is the implementation of a finite element computer code for the simulation of the impact of a projectile on a plate. Several simulations were performed to test the convergence of the proposed method, always with reference to the analytical analysis of the problem.
