In the current world, where the economy is globalized and the competition between companies enters a world scale, the search for products of high quality standards, with guaranteed on-time delivery and an appropriate price are essential for their survival. The losses and waste that occur during production only increase the cost of processing the product which limits the competitiveness and profitability of the company. This project was carried out on a farm machinery manufacturer located in Curitiba. It worked with the losses by breakdown on a machining center, machine that had been chosen due to its highest cost of breakdown in the entire factory. There were used analysis tools like 5W1H, 5 whys, PDCA, and others, which are part of the pillar of Professional Maintenance (PM) of the World Class Manufacturing (WCM). The result obtained with this project was a 58% reduction in the cost of the mentioned machine breakdown in 7 months. |
