Resumo: Liquid-gas two-phase flows are widely found in nature and in industrial processes, especially in the chemical, oil and nuclear industry. In many industrial facilities, whether for economic interests, to meet environmental legislation, or to suit subsequent processes, it is necessary to separate the phases. In order to handle the magnitude of the flow rate of oil and gas extraction facilities, these separators might reach dimensions relatively large in some cases. However, in the subsea separation, dimensions are a critical factor. Therefore, it is necessary to develop compact separators that can handle the demand without harming the separation efficiency. The present work intends to evaluate experimentally a distribution system developed by the Multiphase Flow Nucleus (NUEM) at the Federal Technology University of Paraná (UTFPR). The system in question should be able to distribute the flow equitably. The objective is to evaluate the performance of the distribution system, that is, to compare the volumetric flow rates of the phases at the outlets, for different operating conditions that can occur in an oil extraction plant. It will also be monitored the behavior of the flow inside the distribution system, using wire-mesh sensors, to evaluate the influence of surface velocities in the formation of liquid film, and its influence on equitable distribution.
