In recent years, additive manufacture processes progressed fast, with new printing techniques and the possibility of using various materials, attracting considerable industry interest. In this context, lattice structures are very promising. Thus, in this work a code was developed in APDL language that allows simulating through the finite element method, a lattice structure with Body Cubed Centered architecture for three different loads, varying its intensity. With this, it is intended to increase the level of understanding about the behavior of these structures under critical loads, which is necessary to enable its use in certain applications. The simulations performed, showed that as the intensity of the loads increases and some structure members fail, the remaining ones are able to redistribute the load and prevent the collapse of the structure, until a given limit. |
