The return of lubricating oil packages for specialized reuse or recycling has become imperative as environmental legislations have become more rigid in this regard each year. The return aspect of these packages will be addressed through an analysis of their reverse logistics with the collection of data from the largest consumers of these materials: fuel stations. This study aims to show the scenario of management of lubricating oil packages in the fuel station sectors, through an exploratory field study that will be developed in the central region of Curitiba. With a number of stations visited, we will identify how these packages are being treated after being used, proposing forms of adequacy to enable the reverse logistics process of this post-consumer material. Materials classified as hazardous, toxic or polluting require, by law, a specialized destination; as is the case with the used packaging of lubricating oils treated in this paper. These materials are often difficult to recycle or reuse, since they contain some sort of contamination. And due to this fact, countless materials of this category need a subsidy in order to be properly destined. Field research and reverse logistics analysis of used lubricant packages brought to the fore all aspects related to the collection, cleaning of the material, treatment of generated effluents, recycling and process documentation. This work verified that the reverse logistics required by environmental agencies actually occurs in a real situation, and that there are no divergences between regulations, theory, and real life situations. O seguinte trabalho tem o foco na logística reversa que se mostra cada vez mais necessária tanto no aspecto da estratégia empresarial, como na do meio ambiente quando envolve materiais poluentes. O retorno de embalagens de óleo lubrificante para reutilização ou reciclagem especializada tem se tornado imperativo, pois as legislações ambientais têm se tornado mais rígidas nesse aspecto a cada ano. Será tratado o aspecto de retorno dessas embalagens através de uma análise da sua logística reversa com o levantamento de dados dos maiores consumidores desses materiais: postos de combustíveis. Este estudo visa mostrar o cenário de gestão das embalagens de óleo lubrificante nos setores de postos de combustíveis, através de um estudo exploratório de campo que será desenvolvido na região central de Curitiba, com um determinado número de postos visitados, para identificação de como estas embalagens estão sendo tratadas após serem utilizadas, propondo formas de adequação para viabilizar o processo de logística reversa desse material pósconsumo. Materiais classificados como perigosos, tóxicos ou poluentes necessitam, por lei, de uma destinação especializada; como é o caso com as embalagens usadas de óleos lubrificantes tratadas neste presente trabalho. Esses materiais muitas vezes são de difícil reciclagem ou reutilização, visto que contêm algum tipo de contaminação. E devido a esse fato, inúmeros materiais dessa categoria necessitam de um subsídio de forma a serem corretamente destinados. A pesquisa de campo e análise da logística reversa das embalagens de óleo lubrificante usadas, trouxe à tona todos os aspectos relacionados à coleta, limpeza do material, tratamento dos efluentes gerados, reciclagem e documentação do processo.
