Aiming to know the characteristics of the seeds used in planting crops, the work aimed to compare physical and physiological components of Wheat-saved seeds produced by family producers of the municipalities of Planalto, Perola D´Oeste and Pranchita, in southwestern Paraná, In relation to commercial seeds. The seeds Were Collected In properties. The seeds were collected on properties that stored seeds of the 2015/2016 crop to reduce costs in the implantation of the crop in the 2016/2017 crop. The seed analysis was performed at the UTFPR-DV Seed Analysis Laboratory. Tests of purity, hectoliter weight, moisture and weight of one thousand seeds were carried out to evaluate the physical components. Germination test, electrical conductivity and cold test for the physiological components. The obtained data were analyzed through the analysis of variance, and the means compared by the Tukey test. The seeds saved had similar results for the physical components. The commercial lots presented lower number of dead seeds for the two cultivars evaluated. The seeds saved presented discrepant values for electrical conductivity in relation to the commercial ones. For the cultivars object of the present study, the applied tests did not indicate significant differences in the quality of the seeds with respect to their origin. A busca de diminuição de custos de implantação de lavouras de trigo, vem levando os produtores utilizarem sementes salvas, as quais muitas vezes com qualidade física e fisiológica desconhecidas. Visando conhecer as características das sementes utilizadas na implantação de cultivos, o trabalho objetivou comparar componentes físicos e fisiológicos de sementes salvas de trigo produzidas por produtores familiares dos municípios de Planalto, Pérola D´Oeste e Pranchita, no Sudoeste do Paraná em relação às sementes comerciais. As sementes foram coletadas em propriedades que guardaram sementes da safra 2015/2016 para diminuição de custos na implantação do cultivo na safra 2016/2017. A análise das sementes foi realizada no Laboratório de Análise de Sementes da UTFPR-DV. Foram realizados testes de pureza, peso hectolítrico, umidade e peso de mil sementes para avaliar os componentes físicos. Teste de germinação, condutividade elétrica e teste a frio para os componentes fisiológicos. Os dados obtidos foram analisados através da análise de variância, e as médias comparadas pelo teste de Tukey. As sementes salvas apresentaram resultados semelhantes para os componentes físicos. Os lotes comerciais apresentaram menor quantidade de sementes mortas para as duas cultivares avaliadas. As sementes salvas apresentaram valores discrepantes para condutividade elétrica em relação às comerciais.
