The objective of this work was to evaluate the relative competitiveness of soybean cultivars with bittergrass and vassourinha grass, in a vase condition. The experiment was carried out in the 16/17 harvest, adopting a population of 8 plants per pot, equivalent to 250 plants / m2, in proportions of 100: 00%, 75: 25%, 50: 50%, 25: 75% and 0: 100% for cultivars NS 6909, TMG 7262 and BRS 184, and weeds, bitter grass ( Digitaria insularis) and Vassourinha grass (Chloris sp.). The one used was the entirely random, with four replicates. Competitiveness analyzes were carried out through diagrams for substitutive experiments and the use of relative competitiveness indexes. The dry matter and height data of the cultivars and weeds were collected 45 days after emergence. The soybean cultivars in competition with weeds presented similar results for the dry matter, and the three evaluated were affected; being that the soybean presented greater aggressiveness in relation to the competitors. For the height variable there was no competition, however, the weed species showed heights higher than the soybean cultivars. Os experimentos em séries substitutívas possibilitam estudar os efeitos da população e da proporção de plantas, a importância da competição intraespecífica e interespecífica, além da dinâmica dos recursos fornecidos pelo ambiente. O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar a competitividade relativa de cultivares de soja com o capim amargoso e capim vassourinha, em condição de vaso.O experimento foi realizado na safra 16/17 adotando-se uma população de 8 plantas por vaso, equivalente a 250 plantas/m2, nas proporções de 100:00%, 75:25%, 50:50%, 25:75% e 0:100% para as cultivares NS 6909, TMG 7262 e BRS 184, e as plantas daninhas, capim amargoso (Digitaria insularis) e capim vassourinha (Chloris sp.). O utilizado foi o inteiramente casualisado, com quatro repetições. As análises da competitividade foram efetuadas por meio de diagramas destinados aos experimentos substitutivos e uso de índices de competitividade relativa. Aos 45 dias após a emergência foram coletados os dados de matéria seca e altura das cultivares e das plantas daninhas. As cultivares de soja em competição com as plantas daninhas apresentaram resultados semelhantes entre si para a matéria seca, verificando-se prejuízo para as três avaliadas; sendo que a soja apresentou maior agressividade em relação aos competidores.
