This paper consists of an experiential report about the implantation and evaluation of the librarians who work at UTFPR in the activities concerned to institutional repositories. To support discussions, we resort to the scientific literature, intending to show a literature review about institutional repositories and the experience related to implantation of repositories in the UTFPR and, in sequence, the result of the analysis of the subjects who are part of this study. The used methodology was exploratory research that involves bibliographic search and analysis examples that encourage the comprehension (GIL, 2008). Subjects who are part of the study are librarians who work with submission and review of items to the two repositories of the Institution. Among the main results, it was observed that the librarians evaluated positively the use of Dspace software and the knowledge they have about documents that rule the activities. Another important data identified was that although the release of UTFPR Open Access Information Portal was made by several ways, it is noticed that it is small yet the number of workers who provide their materials in the repository, fact that tends to change because the new politic of capacitation whose proposal is the compulsory availability of the scientific production in the institutional repository. |
