Resumo: Environmental changes caused by intense urbanization process, significantly affect natural resources of importance to the maintenance of life. The vegetation of riparian forests are constantly threatened, along with water undergo changes in their characteristics, suffering changes in its quality and functionality. The present study sought through floristic surveys of riparian vegetation, natural regeneration study and analysis of water quality based on Class III freshwaters of CONAMA Resolution 357/2005, check the environmental conditions of the stream Muddy Wate, Dois Vizinhos - Paraná. After collection and data processing was possible to obtain meaningful information about the environmental conditions in which it is said stream. The riparian forest is completely changed, with the presence of invasive alien species, being represented by Musa sp., Species with the highest density of individuals to urban areas and typical from anthropogenic changes following appears Hovenia dulcis, which was present both in urban and rural riparian area. Individuals of native species as Campomanesia xanthocarpa, Casearia sylvestris and Parapiptadenia rigida had great representation in rural riparian stream, indicating that these species are adapted to local conditions, is of great importance for studies of recovery of riparian stream. For natural regeneration of urban and rural individuals with higher densities were Hydrocotyle leucocephala and Axonopus compressus and Psychotria sp.. Invasive species such as Impatiens walleriana, Hovenia dulcis were found, indicating factor alert for biological contamination of those environments. Were also obtained, the values of the index of Shannon-Wiener diversity and evenness values for Equability for urban and rural areas. Regarding water quality studies, values for some of the parameters, when compared with established laws, not classified in Class III freshwaters, thus characterizing the change in the characteristics and quality of this water. Analysis studies of influence were conducted to evaluate the influence of trees and natural regeneration on water quality. Stream Water Blurred, as expected, has a high environmental degradation, both in riparian vegetation, the water quality, measures were necessary and immediate actins to mitigate the impacts that have already occurred and prevent future impacts, to ensure the perpetuity the lives of these precious resources.
