The objective was to conduct a study of the production chain of forest base in the town of Dois Vizinhos, Paraná. Taking in to account the question of productive structure, the study aimed to conduct a study of the production chain of forest base in the town of Dois Vizinhoss, Paraná. To perform the work a relationship of 151 companies was acquired from the Commercial and Business Association of Dois Vizinhos, these 151 companies involved in the forestry sector of the municipality adopted a sample of 30% for the research. In the poultry sector, the study was based on 223 people who have aviaries within the municipality, these data were provided by the Association of Poultry Farmers of Southwest of Paraná, this complete list of poultry farmers went through a sampling of 10% is sufficient to perform research. After sampling the research was carried out in the field using a questionnaire covering general topics for the quantitative and qualitative characterization of forest production chain of the municipality. The processing and analysis of quantitative and qualitative nature was performed via Microsoft Excel [marca registrada]. The coordinates of the sites evaluated, obtained with the use of GPS (Global Positioning System) navigation device, these data were downloaded and processed in MapSource [marca registrada] software and analyzed using ArcGIS [marca registrada] software. Yet it was estimated the forest area needed to meet the demand for wood by companies, using data obtained in 2011 and 2012 for the project "Monitoring methodologies to encourage the planting of eucalyptus in the municipality of Dois Vizinhos program: municipal management tool". The results of timber consumption, showed that the allocation of the vast majority of planted forests in the municipality of Two Neighbors is to segment energy (88.24%), with an annual consumption of 408,653.4 m³, demanding an annual planting 1946 ha. The segment of logs to the sawmill is the second largest, consuming 50,388 m³ annually, requiring an annual planting of eucalyptus 13.1 ha (8.2%), 93.1 ha/year pine (54.9%) and 51,6 ha/year of Araucaria (36.8%). In general the study allowed quantifying the problem of lack of raw material for local industry to supply the origin, showing the need and opportunities for investment in the area. |
