The eucalipto tree is native from Australia. It belongs to the genus Eucalyptus, which is represented by more than 600 species and is owned by the family Myrtaceae. The Eucalyptus has been used for various uses throughout Brazil, thus, any factor that causes a reduction in the quantity and quality of Eucalyptus wood will result in impact on the economy, one of the main factors for these tree reductions are the insect-pests. Among these, the exotic insects considered pests deserve special attention because they are difficult to control because it has no natural enemies. Then they dominate dominating the medium where they are and damage part of the forest products. In this context, it’s found the Leptocybe invasa Fisher & LaSalle (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae), gall wasp, which recently appear in the country. In this sense, the objective of this study was to report the distribution of the gall wasp Eucalyptus in the state of Paraná, in Brazil and in the world. For this, we conducted bibliographic places of occurrence of L. invasa and recorded the occurrence of this insect in two cities in the state of Paraná, where there were no reports of the occurrence, Dois Vizinhos and Realeza, which were also included on the map. Having the coordinates thematic maps were prepared, in order to facilitate visualization of the area of distribution and occurrence of the pest, which will assist in better identification of areas of attack may promote the use of control methods in specific areas, besides being a tool to alert the owners of properties on which cultivates the genus Eucalyptus. |
