The work was carried out in a stand of Pinus elliottii with 2 x 2 m spacing Federal Technological University of Paraná, in the municipality of Two Neighbors - PR. In each tree were measured and their dendrometric morphometric variables. Qualitative characteristics were also evaluated as competition (COM.1: low competition; COM.2: competition average; COM3: high competition) and sociological position (PS1: sociological position 1 - dominant trees; PS2: sociological position 2 - co-dominant trees, PS3: sociological position 3 - dominated trees). Was performed using SAS test medium (Tuckey), the 5% level of probability, to check the difference of the variables dendrometric and morphometric conditions (competition and sociological position) where the pine were submitted. It was also performed a correlation analysis by Pearson CORR procedure to check the degree of relationship between variables. For the modeling of the variable total height by diameter, was used STEPWISE procedure. The parameters used for selection of the models were R2aj, Coefficient of variation (CV), F value calculated and examination of waste. It can be observed that the population under study shows great heterogeneity, as there is wide variation range between dendrometric and morphometric variables. Fact that can be linked to the settlement have not received adequate treatment and forestry management. The estimated height as a function of DAP was different for each position sociological, revealing that the trees of the upper layer, ie the dominant (PD 1) have a ratio higher than hipsometric co-dominant trees (PS 2) and the controlled or deleted (PS 3) and therefore, to set a model for each sociological position. For the competition variable, there were differences of height and diameter between low competition (COM.1) and major competitions (COM.2 and 3), and the trees that have a lower level of competition for the same diameter, had lower height than the trees that are in higher levels of competition, requiring it, the separation of these groups to describe the hypsometric relation. Este trabalho objetivou verificar o comportamento das variáveis dendrométricas e morfométricas de Pinus elliottii nas diferentes posições sociológicas e níveis de competição, bem como modelar a relação hipsométrica desta espécie e verificar se existe diferença desta relação entre as diferentes condições que as árvores estavam submetidas (posição sociológica e competição). O trabalho foi realizado em um talhão de Pinus elliottii com espaçamento 2 x 2 m da Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná, no município de Dois Vizinhos - PR. Em cada árvore, foram medidas suas variáveis dendrométricas e morfométricas. Também foram avaliadas características qualitativas como competição (COM.1: competição baixa; COM.2: competição média; COM3: competição alta) e posição sociológica (PS1: posição sociológica 1 – árvores dominantes; PS2: posição sociológica 2 – árvores co-dominantes; PS3: posição sociológica 3 – árvores dominadas). Pelo programa S.A.S. foi realizado teste de médias (Tuckey), à 5% de probabilidade de erro, para verificar a diferença das variáveis dendrométricas e morfométricas nas condições (competição e posição sociológica) em que os pinus estavam submetidos. Foi realizado também uma análise de correlação de Pearson pelo procedimento PROC CORR para verificar o grau de relação entre as variáveis. Para a modelagem da variável altura total em função do diâmetro, foi utilizado o procedimento STEPWISE. Os parâmetros utilizados para seleção dos modelos foram o R2aj. coeficiente de variação (CV), valor de F calculado e o exame dos resíduos. Pode-se observar que o povoamento em estudo apresenta grande heterogeneidade, pois existe grande amplitude de variação entre as variáveis dendrométricas e morfométricas. Fato que pode ser atrelado ao povoamento não ter recebido tratos adequados de silvicultura e de manejo. A estimativa da altura em função do dap foi diferente para cada posição sociológica, revelando que as árvores do estrato superior, ou seja, as dominantes (PS 1) apresentam uma relação hipsométrica superior às árvores co-dominantes (PS 2) e às dominadas ou suprimidas (PS 3), tendo assim, que ajustar um modelo para cada posição sociológica. Para a variável competição, houve diferença da relação altura e diâmetro entre a baixa competição (COM.1) e as maiores competições (COM.2 e 3), sendo que as árvores que possuem um menor nível de competição, para um mesmo diâmetro, apresentaram valores mais baixos em altura do que as árvores que se encontram em níveis de competição maiores, necessitando com isso, a separação desses grupos para descrever a relação hipsométrica. 2020-11-13T12:28:22Z 2020-11-13T12:28:22Z 2013-02-22 bachelorThesis GALLO, Joseane Cristina.
