Resumo: Ecological corridors are important not only for the connectivity of forest fragments, but also for the transmission and maintenance of the genetic material of the species. In Paraná there are several islands of biodiversity, which without being interconnected run the risk of extinction. Both the Guarani State Park and the Iguaçu River basin are of extreme relevance to the biodiversity of southwestern Paraná, and one of the major problems faced in preserving these fragments is the lack of data about these sites. The Geographic Information System (GIS) is an important facilitating tool for the fast and efficient acquisition of this data, reducing costs and easily reaching the most remote locations. The present work aimed to use geoprocessing tools to verify the possibility of creating an ecological corridor linking the Guarani State Park, the RN Salto do Chopim and the Araupel reforestation area. It was verified that the techniques of geoprocessing are important tools for the creation of ecological corridors and can also be used as support in the development of public policies that seek to guarantee the sustainability of these conservation units and their connections.
