This research investigated the schooling of students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), through a bibliographical research, having bibliographical references books, articles and periodicals on the main characteristics of the schooling of students with ASD. It is well known that the challenges are great for both autistic students and teachers. It is true that children with ASD should be fully integrated in the school environment and the school should respect the particularities of these students. Therefore, it is up to the pedagogical team to identify the main characteristics and, based on the strengths and the best possible way for the development of these. The rationale for the research is that there is still a lack of knowledge about ASD, and the fact that professors and undergraduate academics report that there is no adequate preparation during graduation. To finalize, primers will be made to be distributed to elementary school teachers - initial years, in the municipal schools of Dois Vizinhos, Paraná, with the objective of alerting teachers about the traits of Autism, and the educator plays a fundamental role in this process, because in the coexistence with children, can report signs earlier and guide parents to seek the support of professionals who can assist both parents and children with this disorder. |
