The Law on Public Policy for the Population Control of Dogs and Cats, animal welfare, sanitation, castration and feeding of companion animals was also disseminated to students of Elementary School I through lectures. It is fundamental that the professionals of the different areas, especially those involving health and education, commit themselves to the cause of animal welfare, so the present study proposed the collection of data with the use of questionnaires, interview and field diary, the data analysis was by the qualitative-quantitative method. It was observed that there is a lack of information about the Municipal Law that provides for the Public Policy of Population Control of Dogs and Cats, but most teachers affirmed that they consider animal welfare a matter of social importance and public health, most of the professors claimed to have companion animals which facilitated interest in the research, as for the elementary school students, they showed an interest in the subject, actively participating in the lectures, with questions and reports concerning the welfare of companion animals. Esta pesquisa buscou investigar a realidade do tema bem-estar e guarda responsável, e o conhecimento por parte dos professores da Secretaria Municipal de Educação do município de Dois Vizinhos, Paraná, abordando questões relativas aos conhecimentos necessários para se trabalhar o presente assunto em sala de aula. Também foi realizada a divulgação da Lei que dispõe sobre a Política Pública de Controle Populacional de Cães e Gatos, bem-estar animal, sanidade, castração, alimentação dos animais de companhia, para os alunos do Ensino Fundamental I, por meio de palestras. É fundamental que os profissionais das diferentes áreas, sobretudo aquelas que envolvam saúde e educação, se comprometam com a causa do bem-estar animal, sendo assim o presente estudo contou com a utilização de questionários, entrevista e diário de campo para a coleta dos dados. A análise dos dados se deu pelo método qualiquantitativo. Observou-se que há um déficit de informações sobre a Lei Municipal que dispõe sobre a Política Pública de Controle Populacional de Cães e Gatos, porém a maioria dos professores afirmaram que consideram o bem-estar animal um assunto de importância social e de saúde pública, sendo que a maioria dos professores afirmaram possuir animais de companhia o que facilitou o interesse pela pesquisa, enquanto alunos do ensino fundamental, demonstraram interesse pelo tema, participando ativamente nas palestras, com questionamentos e relatos. 2020-11-13T13:05:49Z 2020-11-13T13:05:49Z 2018-11-26 bachelorThesis MULLER, Crislaine Aparecida da Silva.
