The aim of this paper is to present a discussion about ecological integrity, based on the study of the Earth Charter and its respective principles, which can contribute to the sustainable development of human life and actions in relation to the environment, including the development of the environment, biodiversity, social justice and respect for the environment in a society that grows according to a consumerist and utilitarian morality. Faced with patterns of technological development, based on a traditional anthropocentric ethics that triggers serious risks to nature, resulting in a threat to the human species itself. This work is based on the main aspects that permeate ethical issues, such as opposing proposals for moral consumption, global economy, capitalist system and interdisciplinarity of knowledge generated in socioenvironmental economic and social development. It is a bibliographic and documentary research. It seeks to dialogue with a reference literature on the subject that establishes a dialogue on the foundations of the Earth Charter. |
