The teaching of science and biology covers a large area of knowledge and has great importance in the formation of man, contributing to the understanding of the world and also of man as part of the environment. Zoology is a content addressed in Science and Biology Teaching and is characterized by the study of animals. This paper proposes an analysis of a different didactic approach to Science Teaching, more precisely Zoology: The use of the Zoo as a non-formal space for the construction of knowledge. For many years, zoos were seen only as an environment conducive to leisure, rest and entertainment, but increasingly this environment has become a great ally in educational activities, serving as a space for non-formal education, providing a greater interest in students for the teaching of zoology. For this, an analysis was made in the present literature about the use of this space for Zoology Teaching and after that the information found was discussed. This work made questionnaires to be used by teachers before and after the visit to the Zoo, contributing to the students' learning diagnosis. Finally, the present study based a didactic material, more precisely a short guide of visitation in Zoos, in order to assist such moments of education held in the non-formal Zoo space. |
