Ganoderma lucidum is one of the main medicinal fungi because it has substances such as triterpenes that have hepatoprotective function and with other activities, cytotoxic (antitumor) and hypolipidemic. It is also known to contain ganoderic acids which have a similar molecular structure to steroid hormones. The goal of this work was to assess the performance and carcass evaluation of 20 rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus, New Zeland breed) using four treatments with different concentrations of G. lucidum incorporated into pelleted feed, as follows: treatment 1 (test group), treatment 2 (diet + 0,5% myceliated wheat), treatment 3 (feed plus 1,0% of myceliated wheat) and treatment 4 (diet + 1,5% of myceliated wheat). Average weight gain, feed conversion, consumption, carcass evaluation, cooling loss, carcass yield and relative meat / bone: parameters were evaluated. The addition of Ganoderma in the diet did not affect performance nor carcass of rabbits in this study. |
