Resumo: Milk production is performed in the southwest of Paraná, consists of an economically viable option for obtaining income, especially on small farms that rely on family labor and small areas of land, which sometimes may prevent the development of other activities that assure them income regularly during all months of the year. Accordingly, the concentrate consists of a food supplementation strategy that is usually adopted by farmers because it lends itself to the production system widely exploited in the region, which is the milk of pasture. To carry out the work, milk recording data from the used were practiced on small farms of milk production of southwest Paraná accompanied by project called Demonstration Units of Dairy - UDPL. The results showed that the use of homemade concentrated to the commercial, secured a saving of approximately one minimum wage (R $ 724.00) per month for each property.
