The experiment was conducted at the Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná campus Dois Vizinhos was evaluated where the estimated consumption ofdairy hutch grazing and confinement. The animals were kept in confinement inindividual stalls of 2m ², where each animal had its consumption checked and adjusted, and the leftovers will not exceed 10% of daily consumption. For animalskept on pasture was used as an external marker chromic oxide consumption, theanimals were evaluated in three distinct periods, each animal received 10g ofchromic oxide per day for 10 consecutive days. Was collected feces from eachanimal during the last five days of the robationary period in three different times8:00, 13:00 and 17:00 hours, immediately after the samples were dried in ovensreach 65 degrees until constant weight to grinding and subsequent analysis of thepercentage of chromic oxide in feces and estimates of fecal output and dry matter intake of animals. Analysis of variance was performed, adopting the 5% level ofprobability. Animals raised on pasture presented lower dry matter intake (DMI) thatanimals kept in confinement, the intake of crude protein (CP), neutral detergent fiberintake (NDF), acid detergent fiber intake (CFDA), showed no significant differences(P> 0.05) between treatments. The ADG was significantly different (P <0.05) andhighest for the animals kept in confinement. |
