Resumo: The objective of this study was to analyze the production and quality of forage sorghum under simulated grazing, with different levels of phosphorus at sowing. The work was conducted in an experimental Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR), campus Dois Vizinhos, during the summer of 2010/2011. The experimental design was completely randomized block with three replications. The treatments consisted of sorghum cultivar Jumbo, testing doses of 0, 50, 100, 150 and 200 kg P2O5 ha-1 and these doses distributed in the seeding. The collection of material was performed by simulating forage production of grazing animals. To determine the characteristics bromatológicas, the collected material was separated structurally (leaf, stem), dried in an oven and ground in a mill for later laboratory determination. The following parameters were evaluated: Production of green mass (MV), Production and content of dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), neutral detergent fiber content (NDF) and accumulation of N, P and K by the party of the plant. There was no best dose of phosphorus, but new experiments should be developed with the evaluation of higher doses of phosphorus to determine the best dose.
