The evolution of the humanity brought to the society many benefits that made easy the form of life, nevertheless, this evolution can produce important environmental damages, with distinction for the excessive generation of solid waste that, when destined in incorrect way, they prune impacts negatively the environment. Before the exposed one, the present study was developed in the District Sadia, located in Francisco Beltrão, with the objective to move the community before the unsuitable location of the destination of solid waste present in the district. For that, questionnaires were applied to the community, to check the knowledge on environmental education and the theme of the solid waste. Based on the levels of knowledge on environmental education found, with tools of space statistic, a thematic map was produced to point to the distribution of the levels of environmental education in the district. Associated to this map, they were put on top of location of the points of unsuitable destination of the solid waste. The Part of the district (Region 6) in which there is the biggest number of unsuitable points of destination of solid waste (40) also went to area with the least notes of knowledge on the theme (55,48 %). With the intention of enlarging the knowledge of the population of the district in environmental education, workshops were carried out in the Municipal School Higino Antunes Pires Neto, located in the district, besides, the workshops aimed to demonstrate alternatives for destination adapted for the solid waste. With that, it is noticed that the environmental boarded education of efficient form in the schools, community in general and for the academic community, can reduce the impacts produced to the society and to the environment. |
