Agriculture in the southern region of Brazil has been using more and more management systems with integration of animals in the winter, aiming to increase farmers' productivity and income. However, the presence of animals and agricultural machinery can cause changes in the physical quality of the soil. This study was carried out on soil degradation in the municipality of Honório Serpa, Southwest of the state of Paraná, whose soils comprise the orders of Latossolo, Neossolo and Litossolo. In order to compare the two no-till systems (SPD) and the crop husbandry integration system (ILP), three parameters were analyzed: surface runoff, density and organic matter. In the (ILP) the animal stocking rate was 477.91 kg ha-1 and in the SPD there were no animals. In both systems the slope was low. For these conditions, no significant differences were verified between the two systems in terms of infiltration capacity, soil density and organic matter concentration. |
