The techniques used to control erosion processes, which may be caused by the environmental impact of reservoir filling of a hydroelectric power plant, require environmental monitoring. The aim of the study is to verify the occurrence of these processes in the reservoir margins over time, allied to the climatological and hydrosedimentological factors that act in the place. This research was conducted through the analysis of reports produced by the plant and sent to the licensing environmental agency. It was compiled the data of rainfall, solid flow, liquid flow and erosive processes evidenced in the reports for later temporal comparison. The relationships between the data were evidenced from the analysis of the most significant events that occurred over the lifetime of the hydroelectric plant regarding the occurrence of erosive foci in the reservoir margins. The results were of convergence between what is on the subject in the literature and the analyzes made from the graphs and tables. It can be inferred that vegetative development along the reservoir banks is among the most environmentally safe ways to restore soil stability at the banks. |
