The importance to promote sustainable development leads private organizations to change their concepts in relation to the mode of production. The eco-innovation implementation represents the way companies found to adapt to market requirements with a differentiated approach to the environment. From this perspective, the purpose this work is to evaluate the role of the Francisco Beltrão municipality public authority in relation to strategies to promote eco-innovation in the large industries installed in the municipality. The research is descriptive, qualitative and exploratory. Based on the eco-innovation typologies described by Carrillo-Hermosilla, González and Konnola (2009), as a design, product and service, user and governance, a questionnaire was applied in three municipality industries about the eco-innovation implementation in their processes. In addition, the Secretary of Industry and Commerce and Environment Secretariat was interviewed about the public authority support to promote the municipality eco-innovations development. Through these results, the eco-innovation dimensions in the industries and the barriers to eco-innovation were identified. Finally, a proposal for an action plan for the public authority was performed, because they are the responsible for the subject with action strategies for eco-innovation actions studies and development in the industries. |
