The mapping information is a widely used resource to show the usage patterns and occupations of spaces. The photo viewing space improves understanding of existing interactions. The objective of this paper is to present the map of land use and occupation of the catchment area of the River Marrecas, produced for the years 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000 and 2010 by means of a digital supervised classification (method of maximum likelihood) of satellite images (Landsat). The knowledge of land use and occupation of a particular area is of fundamental importance in characterization projects and environmental monitoring, allowing demarcate the different uses of the land and vegetation as well as support the planning and environmental management. |
