The Civil construction is an industrial sector that directly influences the Brazilian economy, absorbing large numbers of workers through the generation of direct and indirect jobs. It is verified that the sector presents by the workers, low interest in courses of improvement and professional qualification. Influenced by such issues as low pay, lack of interest in undertaking these trainings on the part of companies, lack of recognition of both professional and social class, among other aspects that need to be studied. In this context the research aims to verify the main characteristics of the construction workforce in the city of Guarapuava-PR, through a survey of data of the participants. A general overview was obtained, and fifty participants from a smallsized construction company were interviewed. In the general panorama, the participants have the interest to professionalize mainly in search of better salaries and greater productivity. |
