Resumo: The search for energies that are considered lost is growing more and more in the present day. One way to reuse an energy, in the form of heat, is through thermoelectric generators, these generation modules (TEG) work through Seebeck effect. This paper has as general objective for design and construct a thermoelectric generator using as source of power a heat gun, to simulate the exhaust gases, analyze the thermal viability of installation. The prototype was constructed using a tube where fins was installed on both internal and external walls to improve the heat transfer where the modules were installed. The power obtained by the generator is directly connected with the module used, the modules manufactured especially for energy generation will have better results, it was used in this experiment two Peltier modules connected thermally in parallel and electrically in series, having as maximum temperature of the hot side around 140 ° C and on the cold side the temperature was around 40 ° C, with this difference of temperature we obtained a power of 1.5 watts and 2.78 volts.
