Resumo: This paper presents a theoretical and experimental study of a system for obtaining electric energy through a wind turbine. The system in question was modeled by equations describing the dynamic behavior of a wind turbine. Through the models curves were obtained that demonstrate the real performance of a wind turbine. These equations were implemented and the simulated system in Matlab/Simulink® environment for different wind speeds in order to obtain a reference angular velocity. A bench was also built with the purpose of a DC motor emulating the behavior of a wind turbine. Through open-loop tests the transfer function G(s) was obtained, which described the dynamic behavior of the system. From the transfer function were identified the PI controller gains. At the end of the study, the bench will be available in the university's laboratory so that other studies can be developed by applying other control strategies.
