Resumo: The quantities that characterize the fluid flow are obtained from the resolution of the Navier-Stokes equations using the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tool. These properties are used to calculate the aerodynamic coefficients of the NACA 4412 and NACA 23021 airfoils whose behavior is used for the development of a new airfoil. The physical phenomena in the turbulent flow, due to the Reynolds number well above the critical value, are investigated by using one equation Spalart-Allmaras turbulence method in triangular unstructured computational meshes. The results of the obtained airfoil and of NACA airfoils simulations are obtained, compared and discussed among themselves.
