Resumo: |
Advances in agricultural technology have allowed an expansion in the food industry due to the increase of productivity in the last years. Harvesting machines account for much of this productivity. Therefore, this work aims to perform a structural analysis and topology optimization by software ANSYS for specific components of the shaft, the trunnions of harvesters shafts. For this, static structural analysis and topology optimization will be performed through the finite element method with the intention of reducing the mass while maintaining the resistance. The loads and the boundary conditions of which the shaft is subjected to when the combine harvester is running will be obtained through researches with data from manufacturers and available in the specialized literature, seeking approximation with reality. The results of topology optimization show a reduction of approximately 29 % in mass, while increasing the safety factor of these components from 1.26 to 1.40. |
