Resumo: Occupational hazard, military police are risking their lives for the benefit of the citizen and are not always in a position to maintain a healthy diet during your shift of service. The present study aimed to evaluate the food and the nutritional status of the military police of the 5th BPM of Londrina. A questionnaire was applied to individuals who were in favour of research. Assessed the weight, height and waist circumference of volunteers. The military police of the 5th BPM London presented high frequency (68%) are overweight, as well as, high risk of future cardiovascular disease due to increased abdominal circumference (87%). As for the food, most people do the main meal in their residences, performs the three main meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner; and reports few food regulators, which consume less than half of the officers reported to consume every day fruits, vegetables and vegetables. However, the account of the consumption of fried foods, soda, juice, cookie and candy filled was of low frequency. The data found in this survey are important because police expected to be prepared physically and mentally to exercise properly his profession of security to the population.
