Resumo: The use of equipment and methods flow determination in watercourses in recent years has grown due to the search for accuracy and precision in flow-related values, having so results about the quality of the river or how much this river can be uses. There are equipment’s that do the automatic reading, these make up the direct flow measurement method where besides getting the values automatically are easy to use however they have average or high cost where it is often impossible, still have the indirect methods, considered more archaic, where several repetitions are required to obtain an accurate measurement value which makes working more manual and difficult. However, this work aims at the development, construction and conceptual proof of a prototype designed to measure the flow of small rivers with a view to low construction cost and comparison with other equipment for the same purpose.
