Based on these characteristics, the present study aims at the mapping of spring areas and environmental fragility in the city of Céu Azul, located in the western region of Paraná. The springs were identified and listed using the software “Google Earth Pro” and the thematic maps were elaborated with the aid of some softwares like “Google Earth Pro” for land use and land cover map, “Global Mapper” for the pedological map and “Qgis” for the slope map. This maps served as a basis for the development of the map of potential environmental fragility, later, it was associated at the urban and agricultural area in order to identify the classes of fragility present in each one. It was possible to identify that of the 71 springs only 9 are all protected, this represent only 12,67% of the total. Related with the fragility, it was obtained that the majority of the urban area is present in areas of weak and very weak fragility and a small percentage in the areas of medium and strong fragility. The agricultural areas are present in all classes of fragility, between very weak to very strong, therefore, requiring the adoption of conservation techniques and corrective measures. Therefore, this study contributed to the urban and rural zoning of the city of Céu Azul – PR. O uso exploratório do meio ambiente aliado à carência de planejamento ambiental acarreta em diversas alterações do meio natural, diante disso, utiliza se o mapeamento de fragilidade ambiental potencial para evitar e/ou minimizar os impactos ambientais. Com base nestas características, o presente estudo visa à elaboração do mapeamento das áreas de nascente e da fragilidade ambiental no município de Céu Azul, localizado na região oeste do Paraná. As nascentes foram identificadas e enumeradas utilizando o software Google Earth Pro e os mapas temáticos foram elaborados com auxílio de alguns softwares, sendo estes, o mapa de uso e cobertura da terra utilizando o software Google Earth Pro, o mapa pedológico por meio do software Global Mapper e para o mapa de declividade usou-se o software Qgis. Tais mapas serviram de base para o desenvolvimento do mapa de fragilidade ambiental potencial, posteriormente associou-se este a área urbana e agrícola a fim de identificar as classes de fragilidade presente nos diferentes tipos de uso da terra. Foi possível identificar que das 71 nascentes apenas 9 estão totalmente protegidas por vegetação, ou seja, 12,67% do total. Com relação a fragilidade, verificou-se que a maior parte da área urbana está presente em áreas de fraca e muito fraca fragilidade e uma pequena porcentagem nas áreas de média e forte fragilidade. Já as áreas agrícolas estão presentes em todas as classes de fragilidade, desde a muito fraca até a muito forte, necessitando, portanto da adoção de técnicas conservacionistas e medidas corretivas.
