Resumo: The water filter market has suffered deep transformations. Lately it has looked for innovative products with a differential as UV, IR, water temperature change treatments and design. However, with the energetic crises, which strikes the country, people are searching for economic alternatives. In this context, the quest for simpler products that does not demand electric energy have been valued. As the increasing demand for gravity water filters, the industrial sector has concerned about improving its production to reach the demand and satisfy its clients. This study proposes an improvement in the physical arrangement according with the available area, aiming to evaluate the amelioration caused by this rearrangement and to promote improvements in gravity water filter industry in the countryside of Sao Paulo State. The enterprise had improved the organization in the stock management, beside a deep modification in the physical space, intending to optimize the flow of raw material and its production. By the company data survey, problem identification and improvement proposal, it is expected an increase on production and better employees’ life quality. It is also important to emphasize that the improvements must be continuous and the enterprise must always enhance its products and processes, and thus, conquer more space market.
