Resumo: The search for optimization of production in small companies is based on the need to maintain or increase the quality of products offered without excessive increases the cost. The challenge is even bigger when it comes to companies in expansion. The organizations must be updated on efficient methods of management as a competitive market strategy. Process management already is a strategy used by large companies, but the method used in this study focuses on micro and small companies. The search for optimization of production in small companies is based on the need to maintain or increase the quality of products offered without excessive cost increases. The challenge is even greater when it comes to expanding companies. Organizations must be up-to-date on methods for efficient management as a competitive market strategy. Process management is a strategy already used by large companies, but the method used in this study focuses on micro and small companies. The present work aims at the mapping, analysis and treatment of the purchasing process through the application of a method of management by processes in a company of production of reclining seats and transformation of vans of the west of Paraná. Proposing the optimization of process productivity through the use of a viable action plan for the company, using practical tools that increase the quality, organization, communication, as already implemented in meetings with the departments dependent on the purchasing process, that increase the agility of the conferences, and, eliminate the wastes like the one of time bringing the excellence to the activities developed, turning them strategic differentials that come to add to the organization.
