The following project tries to accomplish this need, get information regarding the reverse logistics process in a biscuit company in western Paraná, seeking to mitigate the influence of logistics in the company's costs. The objective of this investigation is to understand the process of sales management activities related to reverse logistics in the food industry, offering suggestions for improvement to the problem of improper return of products. Continuing, we present the theoretical basis. The project specifically covers a detailed study in channels of distribution and reverse logistics supporting organizational strategic actions. The methodology used in this project regards the nature of the research, is considered to be an applied research. In relation to one’s goals, it is characterized as a descriptive research. The methodological procedures used to conduct this study are: literature review, quantitative research and qualitative research. Data was collected on document analysis, interviews with the coordinator of the logistics sector and members of the sales team. The collected data was compared with the literature review about the proposed theme, to see if there is an agreement between theory and practice. The results are then presented and also their discussions. The study was conducted in the Southern region of Minas Gerais, due to the fact that there is a considerable number of buyers and also a high rate of return of biscuits. From this, the configuration of the channel distribution practiced by the company situated in the region studied and the main active intermediaries (retailers) is presented. The main reasons are pointed out related to improper return from: faults and failures on the manufacture of the product. Through the analysis of sales management, it was sought to propose suggestions in trying to alleviate, the return of the product to the manufacturer. To close the chapter, the importance of a broker as an intermediary to be inserted into the channel analysis distribution, indicating advantages with respect to a qualitative distributor is discussed. A logística tem sido o grande catalisador na operacionalidade de serviços entre fornecedores, indústria e os diversos intermediários existentes até a chegada do produto junto ao consumidor final. O presente trabalho vem de encontro a esta necessidade, levantar informações inerentes ao processo logístico reverso em uma empresa de biscoitos na região Oeste do Paraná, procurando mitigar a influência desta logística nos custos da empresa. O objetivo principal do trabalho é entender o processo de gestão de vendas nas atividades relacionadas à logística reversa em uma indústria alimentícia, propondo sugestões de melhoria para o problema de retorno indevido de produto. Dando sequência, é apresentada a fundamentação teórica. O trabalho abrange especificamente um estudo detalhado nos canais de distribuição e logística reversa como subsídio para ações estratégicas organizacionais. Quanto à metodologia utilizada, o estudo em questão no que se refere à natureza da pesquisa é considerado como sendo uma pesquisa aplicada. Já em relação a seus objetivos é caracterizada como uma pesquisa descritiva. Os procedimentos metodológicos adotados para a realização desse estudo são: pesquisa bibliográfica, pesquisa quantitativa e pesquisa qualitativa. Os dados foram coletados em análise documental, entrevistas com o coordenador do setor logístico e membros da equipe de vendas. Os dados coletados foram comparados com a revisão de literatura acerca do tema proposto, para verificar se há concordância da teoria com a prática. Em seguida, são apresentados os resultados e suas respectivas discussões. O estudo se passa na região Sul de Minas Gerais, devido ao fato de existir um número considerável de compradores e também um grande índice de retorno de biscoitos. A partir disso, é apresentada a configuração do canal de distribuição praticada pela empresa na região estudada e os principais intermediários (varejistas) atuantes. São apontados os principais motivos relacionados ao retorno indevido de produto: avarias, vencimento e falhas na fabricação do produto. Através da análise da gestão de vendas, buscou-se a proposição de sugestões na tentativa de amenizar o retorno de produto ao fabricante.
