Resumo: This research seeks to collect data in an agribusiness cooperative unit in Western of Paraná state regarding their eggs selection and classification producers, whose are necessarily associated. This is a research classified as exploratory, qualitative and quantitative were used techniques as personal observation, documentary and bibliographical research. Questionnaires were applied to producers of eggs and interviews with manager staff of the enterprise to discover the perception that both actors have about the role that the cooperative represents to create value of the product studied. The main idea was to identify the extent to which an activity is presumably deficient interest to a business cooperative management model. The results of this research indicates that interpretation of the Value Chain by Michael Porter, the social value is more apparent in the efforts that the company develops maintaining the activity of selection and classification of eggs. If, in a highly competitive market like this, the cooperative has an activity, which research has shown not show positive results, it shows concern for the support of its members.
