Resumo: As a result of the increasingly fierce competition, small companies are seeking alternatives in order to survive in the mart against its major competitors. This study aims to analyze and propose improvements in the productive flow of a small furniture company that need to reduce costs, increase productivity and reduce the delivery time to be able to remain on the market. To this company have been applied the concepts and tools of lean manufacturing, including the value stream Mapping to the family of products known as chairs. Value stream mapping is a lean manufacturing tool that allows companies to show their waste and seek improvements in the flow of value. The research methodology used is based on an exploratory research in the form of a case study. Was designed the current state of the company and as a result were identified opportunities for improvement and then suggested proposals, such as the possibility of reduction of intermediate stocks, operators and balancing other waste reduction, and a reduction in the lead time of 52. In the face of positive results, the company will extend the application to other product families.
