Resumo: The study of economic feasibility aims to assist management and investors in making decisions regarding the resources available for investment. This study aimed to collect data on initial costs to start a business of construction, small, focusing on construction of residential houses and shops that will act in the Paraíba Valley region in the state of São Paulo. The method used was descriptive research and data collection, using a non-standard interview and market research. With the information was structured cash flow that allowed through the financial economic feasibility of tools, reaching values that could be further analyzed. One indicator was found that the NPV came in at R$ 483.124,64, considering a useful period of 5 years and an MRI of 12%, another indicator was the IRR that showed a percentage of 52% and finally the indicator It is the payback period of the investment featuring a period of 1 year 9 months and 22 days. Through values found, that investment was found has a low value reflecting a short payback period. The IRR greater than the MRI shows that the investment is viable and the project has a good chance of being accepted.
