The Toyota Production System has undergone evolution over the years. The first concept was used to increase the profits required to increase the selling price. Soon this thinking was transformed, it was to minimize costs to increase profit. Thus arose the first surveys indicating some operations to be performed. It was observed that the production flow would be the starting point of the change. This idea initiated the just-in-time production system that offers: zero inventory, reduce time processes, eliminate waste and defects, balance the production according to the market demand, and reduce labor through automation and identification operations-pattern. This paper studies the implementation of the Toyota Production System in a road marking industry located in Sao Paulo. It is intended to make the organization as market model, highlighting the growth of road marking industry which has programs of the Federal Government to increase safety and road marking. |
