Resumo: Due to the high level of competition found on the market today, maintaining organizational efficiency is essential to the survival of any organization. In this context the facility layout can be considered key to the performance of the production process of all sectors companies. It’s no different for displays manufacturers, in fact, in these cases the facility layout becomes even more crucial due to the fact that these companies gather in their production plants activities of distinct natures. This paper comprises the study of the production process, with a focus on the physical arrangement, of a displays manufacturer located in the state of São Paulo. Therefore after understanding the process operation, the Systematic Layout Planning tools were used for the development of a new physical layout model for the organization.The proposed changes by this model brought a series of improvements to the company, for instance, better organization of the production area, shorter, and more efficient material flow and reduction of the space occupied by the production among others.
